Facebook can be such a depressing place...

Have you ever looked at your MSN Messenger buddy list, or your Facebook friends list, and realised how many people you have lost contact with? We're past the era of writing letters, and "keeping in touch" is so much more convenient now. But after all technology has given us, it's still hard to stay in touch with everyone.
I just realised today (yes, 4 months since school has started) that a girl two years my junior in BPGHS is now in ACJC. I missed her during Fun-O-Rama. Wonder how she's coping now. Well, she's the bubbly sort, so she'll fit in well with the people. =)
Such stuff makes me nostalgic. Gah. I miss studying in a real school, with real CCA-mates that understand what you're talking about when you complain about a certain teacher or a certain subject, with real seniors you can learn from, and real juniors whom you can pass the knowledge on to. Real brothers and sisters that stick with you through thick and thin. Real teachers that really care for you. Real classes, with real class nerds and real class idiots. Real school, with real emotions attached.
No one can live encased in ice forever. Everything in university is ambition- and greed-driven. And rightly so too, if not sadly so. When you spend too much time thinking about yourself only, you become a very lonely and cold person.
