Masquerade
Monday, March 27, 2006
Had this thought last night... The entire 2SB4 is like a masquerade. Whether you know it or not, whether they themselves know it or not, everyone hides behind a mask. Some masks have already worn so thin, you can see through them, see the real person behind them. Others carry on wearing their masks, thinking they've pulled off the act well enough that the mask has already blended into their skin. But a mask is a mask, however you look at it. A person can never be his mask; neither can the mask be the person. Hmm...
Almost laughed to death (yes, again) in CWC today. Grah I really should stop going for meetings. 'Tis bad for my health... Sobx... Oh vells...
FreedomThe freedom to be me
Not who you want me to be
To be the girl behind the mask
To cast off my protective husk
To write and write, all day and night
Without bounds or thoughts of wrong and right
The world may stare
For all I care
They might cast me out
Like some IMH inpatient, without a doubt
But I shall laugh and cry
As the world rolls by
And nobody will ever know why...
Ja ne~
